Bryan first felt a call to campus ministry shortly after recommitting his life to The Lord Jesus Christ. His first year in campus ministry was as a volunteer at California University of Pa followed by a year volunteering at Clarion University in 1997-1998. He has served as a campus minister at Waynesburg University and as a Church planting pastor in California and West Brownsville, PA. He has an MBA and an MDiv. God seems to have gifted him in evangelism and his favorite course to teach is 'Mission Basics.'

Currently serving (eight years) as the senior minister of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Monongahela, PA. After growing up in Greeley, Colorado, Gerald attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa OK, graduating in 1981 with a B.A. Degree in English Bible and Oral Communication, and in 1985 with a Master of Divinity degree from the Oral Roberts School of Theology. In 2008, he graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, OK. During the past 29 years, pastor Demarest has served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado, Georgia, as well as Pennsylvania. Rev. Demarest has participated in and led several short-term mission outreaches to Mexico City, to the Southern Ute Indian nation of Colorado, to the Inuit nation of Wakeham Bay, Quebec, Canada, to the La Mosquitia region of eastern Honduras, and to Lima, Peru. And he is the published author of Designing and Teaching the Curriculum, ‘Loving Our Neighbors: Respect and Care for All of Creation’ For the 2007 Vacation Bible School of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Monongahela Pennsylvania. Gerald continues to celebrate 26 years of marriage with his wife Cindy.
